Shipping: We ship eggs via USPS Priority Mail to ensure they arrive quickly and safely. Please note that we only ship within the continental United States. Handling: We only ship orders on Tuesdays. Unless there is a wait, we should be able to ship on the following Tuesday from auction close. See auction policies.
Guarantee: While we take every precaution to ensure a high hatch rate, we cannot guarantee the success of hatching due to variables in incubation conditions and post office handling.
About the breed: Ayam Cemani are chickens that stand out for their striking all-black features. From feathers to organs, even down to their bones these birds are a marvel to behold. In Indonesia they are celebrated for their captivating appearance and mystical healing powers. This is a melanistic breed with striking black feathers that shimmer in the sun. Eggs are a nice cream to white color. Ayam Cemani birds tend to be higher up in the flock heirarchy and produce generally 80-180 eggs per year. They can be great mothers and do go broody.
We are members of the Ayam Cemani Breeders Association and are currently working towards the PSOP. Our birds have won Best of Breed and Reserve at large Poultry Shows. Please note: this breed is not an easy breed to perfect. Time and patience is required to obtain PSOP qualities and outstanding fibro.
