White plumage can mask an underlying color genotype. Recessive white (c/c) and dominant white (I/-) are possible mechanisms in chickens, but this bird's specific allele is unverified. Pea comb, beard and muffs, and blue eggshell traits are separate inherited Ameraucana features.
