About Pips 'n Chicks

Pips 'n Chicks is focused on bridging the gap between practical farm management and precision-driven research. With roots in poultry genetics and exhibition, our mission has expanded to support responsible breeding, education, and equipment development across species — from backyard flocks to small ruminants and beef cattle.

We have ongoing work in genetics, equipment design, and systems for both research and real-world applications. From USDA research  and academic institutions to hobby farms and industry, we understand all aspects and develop scalable ideas for livestock. We focus on efficiency, animal welfare, and genetics.

We are proud to host the largest virtual poultry show in the world, with thousands of birds entered each year. This free, educational event provides youth and hobbyists alike with detailed feedback, national exposure, and mentorship — helping shape the next generation and community of exhibitors and breeders.

In 2024, we also coordinated emergency community outreach during the nationwide poultry crisis — distributing resources, offering support to displaced breeders, and helping flocks find safe placement. Our work is grounded in science, but driven by a belief in showing up for the people behind the animals.

At Pips 'n Chicks, every project is guided by a commitment to quality, transparency, and practical impact — whether we're developing a new quail breeding line, consulting on small-farm equipment, or helping a young exhibitor find their footing.
