PAIRING 17: BANTAM SEMIFINALS

Updated: Mar 22, 2024

This is Day Seventeen of the March Madness poultry judging. For previous pairings, instructions, and a copy of the bracket, please see our other posts here.

NOTE: Due to delays from Mr. Decker, the deadline for final brackets has been extended until results are posted for the rest of the ducks.

Bantams: Milo vs. AUM17

This is the first pairing of two different breeds. As we get further in the bracket, the pairings intentionally get harder. From now on, they no longer should be directly compared to each other, but rather how close they are to their respective standards. My recommendation is to focus on the point system in the APA standard of perfection to judge the birds, to ensure you are focusing equally on the flaws and strengths of each bird and ranking them proportionately.

As always, everyone would love to read your reasonings for which bird you chose to advance, and why. The person with the best reasonings behind their choices, regardless of their final bracket, will receive $10, so the more explanation, the merrier.

Thank you to Nadia Konesko and Zachary Wresinski for providing images of the birds above.
